The Challenge
Foley & Lardner LLP, a prominent law firm specializing in the Energy, Health Care & Life Sciences, Innovative Technology, and Manufacturing Sectors, collaborated with Reflexions and The Pensery to overhaul and redefine its brand and digital presence. Following a strategy engagement with Clarity Group, Foley had a clear mandate — the firm consistently delivers clear, high-value business solutions, but their inconsistent visual style belied those strengths.
Our branding partner, The Pensery, established a highly focused, editorial approach with simple elements that underscore Foley's clear thought leadership and the deep trust they build with clients, simplifying Foley's visual assets, creating “frames”, and setting visual standards that brought harmony and order to what had been a mass of competing elements.

A New Design System
Reflexions translasted Foley's new brand standards to the web. We extended the 'Frame' motif throughout the website and found opportunities to delight users with lightweight animations.
We drafted a set of wireframes to communicate the website's User Experience design and information architecture. The result is an intuitive navigation, guiding users through the Sectors the firm specializes in, the firm's Practice Areas, the searchable People section detailing and highlighting the firm's attorneys and staff, Insights housing the firm's thought leadership, and Topics featuring priority and new information from the firm.
At each point of a user's journey, they are invited to take action. Users may contact the firm, reach out to specific attorneys, or read more about the firm's services.
The process from beginning to end was thoughtful and well planned out. Before we even started the project, the team successfully updated Foley’s brand guidelines and we were able to effectively integrate the new standards into the website redesign.
